Please add an option that maintains the number of active games i have running.
If you play regularly then it’s nice to have a certain number of games waiting to move on each time you come back to the game, for me this means keeping about 13 concurrent games, so i have about 6 waiting. I run through the waiting games, then get on with my day. Some will inevitably end.
However in phobies, i have to make a special effort to start new games. Worse, i can’t just start 5 games in a row, because as you start more games, people move, and you have to play your active games before you can create new ones. It is a noticeable break in the normal flow of making moves.
I propose the following:
- Add an option in the settings to set the number of concurrent games. 0=manual, 25=max
- If a game ends when a player is actively going through their games then, if their active game count is less than requested, silently create a new game for them
- If a game ends because of timeout then do not start a new game till the player returns
- If the player is playing and there are no games to move in, and the game count is below the requested count, silently create new games
- Leave the 4 game start bonus alone, it will just be a lucky bonus every now and again if you end several games in the same day, or decide to manually start a few more.
The benefits:
- Better game play flow, no jarring point when you have to start new games
- More likely to maintain players because there is no obvious point to just stop creating new games.
- Give players an easy way to control the level of engagement they want to have with the game.
