Release Notes 1.9.1

Our latest release includes some improvements to our event and offer experiences, as well as a number of fixes. Here’s a look at what’s new:

Additions

Event Rewards

  • Dupe card packs can now be rewarded via both normal and VIP tracks of Events.
  • Players will now earn substantially more dupe cards across the board during the course of an Event, rather than focusing on dupes for a specific card.
  • This will allow players to upgrade a great number of their Phobies and ensure upgrade strength is more evenly distributed across the entirety of a player’s collection.

Exclusive Offers Presentation

  • Players can now examine an Exclusive monster’s card and stats prior to making a purchase.
  • Tapping the ‘i’ button the right-hand side of the panel will now bring up the card presentation, similarly to how it appears in the Collection screen.
  • Exclusive Offer panels have also been updated to display the monster’s name.

Quest Updates

  • Our Design team has done a pass on our quests to improve the experience.
  • Some quests that were deemed difficult or not enjoyable to complete have been removed from the quest rotation.
  • Other quests have had their goals adjusted to make them easier to finish, and monster rosters have been adjusted to deter from quests being assigned to monsters that would make them artificially difficult to complete.

Fixes

Offers

  • Fixed an issue that could cause monster availability to overlap between Exclusive Offers, leading to players potentially receiving a monster from a previous offer.
  • Fixed a related issue that could cause Exclusive Offers to be purchasable more than once, contrary to our intent.

Phobies

  • The ability description for Haphe has been reworded in an effort to clarify its effects. Haphe’s counter-buff is intended to be triggered by direct attacks from enemies, rather than damage-over-time from status effects or similar ailments.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to crash if an invisible monster was pushed by way of an AOE push ability.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause an invisible monster to become visible if occupying the same position as another monster. This also allowed the invisible monster to occupy the same space, which is unintended behavior.

Replays

  • Fixed an issue in which replays were not properly handling data for monsters that received balancing changes via live updates, causing replays involving those monsters to crash.
  • Fixed an issue where the game occasionally failed to register when a player acknowledged that a game had expired.

Our next major release is on the horizon and is due to drop this summer. What new Phobies and abilities might await you…? Be sure to join our Discord community and discuss your predictions!

Happy battling,

The Phobies Team
