Hi!
I don’t mean to sound whiney, but I read that on average we should pull 2 new phobies from Dreadful or Dominion packs.
I just pulled 1 new phobie from a Dominion, followed by 3 new phobies in 15 Dreadful packs.
So only 4 new Phobies when the average of 16 packs should have been 32 phobies.
Is there anything I can do about this? It seems statistically impossible.
I didn’t think the number of phobies you own mattered, but I have 115 if it does.
I’d appreciate any help anyone could provide.
Oh, and I took pictures after the first 3 packs if that helps too.
If you read the pack description it states that its on average 2 phobies per pack across all rarities. While the specific phobie count doesnt matter, if you have all of a specific phobie type, it matters significantly. If you have collected all the commons, uncommons rares etc. your chances of getting a new phobie in a pack drops significantly.

I have all the commons uncommons and rares, so my chances of getting anything from a dreadful is slim, i could buy 5 dreadfuls and not get a single unit.

May I ask how many phobies you have?
I feel like having 116 (not 115 oops) out of 198 means there are at least a few more that should have dropped.
Otherwise what’s the point? It’s already $20 per Dreadful pack.
So I spent $325 on 4 phobies last night.
(Feel free to make fun of me.)
I still have 82 phobies not unlocked. Shouldn’t I have gotten more than 4 in 16 packs? Maybe not the “average” of 32. But waaay more than 4?
156, but the specific number doesnt matter, what matters is whether you have all of a particular rarity or not my drop rate was great until i got all commons then it dropped then all uncommons it dropped and once i got the final rare it nose dived.

Think of it like this: you have a fixed chance to get a common uncommon rare or ultra rare. If you have no more of that rarity to collect, then you get dupes.

Yes, I understand. Thank you for trying to help.
I’m curious what the drop rates are though. I’m guessing I don’t have all the commons and uncommons. But even if I did. Even if I only had rares and ultra-rare left.
If we, hypothetically, say chance for rare is 8% drop and chance for ultra-rare is 2%, that’s still 10% chance for new phobies for me, which would put my odds at 6.4 new phobies last night.
Being off on a pack is a coincidence. Two is a coincidence. But 16 packs?
Statistics is saying something is wrong. Especially because, I’m fairly certain at only 116 phobies I have not exhausted the supply of Common and Uncommon drops available to me.
At 114 units its likely you have all commons but you can easily check. The album lists all phobies and the commons of any race are before the uncommons and rares of the same cost.
with the assumption you have all commons and uncommons your expected odds per pack are 19.3% of the total 2 phobies youre expected across all rarities (they have a weird way of phasing that but essentially, each card you draw from a dreadful has a 50% chance of giving a unit when all rarities are taken into account) meaning you should be expecting an average of 6.176 phobies across 16 packs. 4 isnt too far out of deviation from that. Ive certainly had and seen worse results.
If you have uncommons though you should be looking at an average of 19 units in 16 packs. And if you have commons you should be looking at an average of 32
And if I opened 16 dreadfuls i can expect an average of… 1 unit. Hooray.
you would be a kinda lucky guy for getting a UR every 16th pack x) sizzling hot has better drop rates
Bro that’s crazy.
One time I only have 47 Phobies and playing for like 10 months. I open One DREADFUL pack and get nothing
Probably 45 Scary Packs All of them Nothing
I consider you lucky
