Poster Making Contest

The challenge of this contest is to create a band poster featuring your chosen phobias.
Contest Start: June 26, 2024
Contest End: July 27, 2024 - 12 PM PDT

Mechanics
Each participant can submit ONE entry only, (the first entry submitted will be the official entry and cannot be changed later).

The poster must illustrate, interpret and emphasize the theme: Phobies Rock Band (featuring any Phobies)
The poster can be done digitally or hand-drawn
Mark your poster with your IGN (In-Game Name)
All entries shall be judged by a Board of Judges

Submission of Poster Entry
Post entry on your Facebook account and make sure your post is “Public”. Tag our Facebook Page @Phobies and include the hashtags: #phobiesposter #phobies #bandposter #phobiesgame

The participant must also submit the following per entry in this form: Poster Making Contest Entry Submission

a. High quality .jpeg file of the poster
b. Submission must include the following details:

• In-Game Name
• Link to the poster entry
• E-mail

The deadline for the submission of entries is on July 27, 2024, 12 PM PDT.

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements shall be a ground for disqualification.

Criteria for Judging
40% - CREATIVITY/PRESENTATION
30% - ORIGINALITY
30% - RELEVANCE

Winners and Prizes
Three (3) winners will be chosen, with the following prizes:
1st Prize: 25,000 Coffee
2nd Prize: 15,000 Coffee
3rd Prize: 10,000 Coffee

Announcement of Winners
Winners will be announced AUGUST 16, 2024. Prizes will be given to the winners within 10-15 business days after the announcement, provided we have all the necessary information from the contestant to award the prize.

Song Composition Contest

The contest is open to all composers, songwriters, and music enthusiasts, whether amateur or professional. Contestants may participate individually or as a group of musicians or fans collaborating.
Contest Start: June 26, 2024
Contest End: July 29, 2024 - 12 PM PDT

Mechanics
Each entry must be an original work and all rights, including copyright, to the entry must be owned exclusively by the contestant.

The song’s lyrics must be Phobies themed.

If the song contains lyrics, the lyrics should be in English and not offensive in nature.

The song entry should be written in any form of the music genre (Pop Rock, Metal Rock, Punk Rock, indie, etc.).

The song’s running time shall be 3 to 5 minutes, inclusive of intro and outro.

The participant may use any musical instruments they desire, or even include acapella.

Each participant can submit ONE entry only, (the first entry submitted will be the official entry and cannot be changed later). A panel of judges may disqualify an entry which fails to comply with any of the above requirements.

Submission of Song Entry
Post your entry on YouTube and make sure your video is “Public”. Include the hashtags: #phobiescomposition #phobies #songcomposition #phobiesgame

The participant must submit the following per entry:
a. Link to the Mp3 file of the musical composition
b. Submission must include the following details in this form: Song Composition Contest Entry Submission

• In-Game Name
• Link to where the “song entry” was uploaded
• E-mail

The deadline for the submission of entries is on July 29, 2024, 12 PM PDT.

Submissions of co-written songs are welcome. If you are submitting a song written by multiple people, please include the IGN (In-Game Name) of the co-writers in the credits.

Rest assured that all entries will be carefully reviewed. However, entries with lyrics that are deemed inappropriate for family listening will not be considered.

Kindly ensure compliance with the above requirements to avoid disqualification.

Music Video Making Contest

Contest Start: June 26, 2024
Contest End: July 31, 2024 - 12 PM PDT

Mechanics
When submitting your music video, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

1. The video entry should clearly specify the IGN (In-Game Name) and credit all participants, including the editor, director, and collaborators in the description.
2. We welcome Music Video submissions from all countries.
3. The Music Video can be created for a band formed or using existing Phobies footage or music, if it offers a unique narrative, promotional endeavor, or artistic aspect.
4. The duration of your work should be under 15 minutes.
5. We exclusively accept online digital submissions.
6. Whether live, animated, or stop-motion, any form of Music Video is accepted.
7. It’s important to note that the panel of judges reserves the right to disqualify videos that are deemed unfit, illegal, non-artistic, fake, false, or incomplete.
8. Lastly, please ensure that your video is family-friendly and free of any offensive material.

Intellectual Property Rights
By submitting your music video to the competition, you authorize Phobies to use parts of your content for promotional purposes. There will be no financial obligations or ties associated with these promotional activities. This includes all elements of your submission such as text, videos, and pictures.

Clips of your music video may be shared on our social media platforms.

FAQ:

1. Would including other Phobie’s Carcases be something that could rule out my poster for the event?, I was thinking of having Blast-O-Matic’s Shell made into Speakers, and Heavo Plaid’s shell made into a set of drums

Not an issue, you can include any Phobies… be creative!

2. About the musical video can i use any music or it has to be phobies soundtrack and can it be animated like uhhhh you know

Yes, you can use any music (just as long as YouTube will not flag your video due to Copyrigh) and any of the Phobies soundtrack.

3. It is permited to use singing as a part of our music? I’m pretty sure its the case but a confirmation from you would be more prudent

Yes, you can sing, that’s why we also mentioned acapella is allowed.

4. For music composition, since we will have to put it on Youtube,do it mean we also can add animation or atleast image to the video or is it optional? Do we forcefully need to make it totally in phobie and/or with our band we did?

Yes you may. The image or animation you will add will not be included in the judging though as we will be focusing on the song/music only. The theme of the music/song should be about Phobies.

5. For music video, do we forcefully have to use phobie soundtrack or we can use other soundtrack,and do using our music composition entry is allowed?

You may use any soundtrack and Phobies soundtrack or your music composition, but please take note that we will be judging the music video in total and will not be based on the song composition.

6. Can you only do one contest or can you do more than one? Like doing both poster and song?

Yes, you can join all 3 contests.

7. Is it possible to have the reward be dished out to multiple accounts, for instance if multiple people worked on it, but couldn’t decide which account should get the reward?

Yes, if the entry is submitted as a group then we will divide the coffee prize to everyone who participated
