Traps are a pretty cool feature in this game, but they can also be very annoying to keep track of in async. If you don’t happen to have an eidetic memory (no one does, it’s fiction) and want to make your best guess where your opponent placed them, you have to replay the ongoing match to check for turns where a trapper unit only made 1 move and no attack and ofc also for turns where your own units triggered a trap (which in practice means you have to watch the whole turn, 'cause pressing the skip button will skip past trap animations too).
It’s like playing minesweeper without the ability to mark suspicious tiles, which gave me the idea: Why not let us mark suspicious tiles during the match? That way we wouldn’t have to consult the log all the time.
