Shouldn't Line Attacks be Targeting Buildings?

Just figured my FRIGGIN LASER can’t target a grave digger’s wall and I don’t get why. I get that it looks unbalanced, but things mostly aren’t as bad as they appear on paper.

These abilities require the enemy to be in a straight line, the further you are the easier it is for the enemy to dodge. Plus, isn’t there a counterplay to sniping enemies from vault for like… What, 600 damage?

Like the rest of the cast (walls, jumps, sheeps, aoe, terrain, pull, push, heal and TELEPORT) this is only ever a contribution to the nightmare concoction.

Is there anything I’m missing? Other than the fact that this is probably intentional?

I totally agree that it should be able to shoot through walls, but you could just make a long wall, hide you line attackers behind them, and keep Kerblooms and such behind the wall to make sure that your enemy wouldn’t break it down. Plus, making a target to use to your will and sniping your enemy would be over-powered, but it would be over-powered and if you combined that with Frosty’s Freeze Ray… I hear what you mean and where you’re coming from, but you could abuse its power easily. I still like the idea and I’m glad you asked that.

Ty for the answer but I gotta disagree: If you got the walls, I got the walls. You wasted resource setting them up, and I will start raining hell from above be4 you can. Plus wouldn’t getting that setup while maintaining control over stress points be near impossible? Even if I’m not raining hell, I’m capturing points.

And when you are doing that tiles away, I won’t have to worry: Your team has a member worth of ineffective stats. You may do multiple lasers but as long as the real dps’s(chuck etc.) range doesn’t reach me it won’t matter. You can one-shot a few Mechanicals, get a few phobies with low hp; I can heal. You can send fallow-up, get a few phobies to jump; I got mine. For each frozen unit, there are 4 that’s ready to eat you alive.

Lasers targetting the walls is deliberately patched out because it breaks the game. Goon back when he launched could hit walls with his laser and they quickly patched that because its super toxic. People just camp in spawn and just snipe people from across the map. Its not just theoretically broken its just broken.
Yes people can protect panic points while still firing lasers, its only one inactive unit the rest can cover points.
Yes frosty would absolutely break the game with this. Frosty already is one of the best units in the game without having a rock that just lets them freeze people whenever without having to set up a dive.
No lasers dont become easier to dodge with range, because A. You can angle them. B you can put up multiple walls so that it doesnt matter where you move a laser will always hit you.

I can’t really imagine it being all that broken but I can totally see it making lazers more powerfull than they should be. You ppl are probably right.

That makes perfect sense, if I used line attackers, for every attack that I do (if it hits only one phobie that’s still alive afterwards), you could use Clinico and Doctor Dermic if you had those. And there’s no telling how long it would take to make the wall even with Grave Digger and Mount Crushmore. You would still capture panic points and break trough my wall. The idea sounds stupid to me now, but just spawning one wall with a phobie to give Beauty or Blast-O Matic more range sounds so strategic. Also, do line attackers shoot past Terrorform walls or walls that were already on the map?

So, I realized a few holes in that(my own) logic.

1 - You can kill healers.
2 - It limits you to a certain amount of phobies to take advantage of the situation. Thats never good in a game like this + the certain phobies are mostly rare and players without them would have a huge disadvantage. Walls should be abled to get utilized by both players.

Also yeah it does go through any and all walls.
