[Event] Phobies Challenge... Accepted! (Make a Challenge! contest)

In this puzzle, the player must kill all phobies in just one turn, which seems difficult with several phobies of varying strength scattered across the field - can you wrangle them up?

Solution:

We tested the Mr. Tramples ability in game, and it should move in that manner, but if the charge prioritizes Contortio, then the following hit can be on Fishtank and the puzzle remains unaltered

In this puzzle, Mildred must specifically be the one to land the killing blow on every enemy, but with only one ability charge, the enemies better be lined up and ready for elimination - Can you line them up without killing any too early?

Solution:

Notice how Staremaster could have been killed without the extra klepto hit, but since he can take it, it allows for AWOL and Jar Cannon to take just a bit of damage before the final hit!

This challenge is meant to mislead players into forgetting about the opponent’s heart. It has high health, while it looks like there should be some way to kill Eratic. The key to winning this is recognizing Eratic’s low movement speed, AWOL’s low health, and Flopsy’s revival ability.

Reduce Eratic’s damage with Wooly Bully (WB)

Flopsy dies of lava damage → revives because Eratic can’t step on it

WB dies of poison

Flopsy makes its way towards +300 panic point

Eratic can’t kill Flopsy, nor can it kill the heart.

Flopsy kills Eratic by killing the enemy’s heart.

Mechanics:
1- I will describe the key values for a small map, but this game could also be played on a large map, just with maybe more keys at the start.
2-The player and the bot will start having the usual amount of keys at the start of the match.
3- The bot will get the usual amount of keys per turn (3 in small map, 5 in big map).
4- The player will get keys ONLY if he/she controls panic points.
5- The amount of keys a player receives at the end of the turn will be equal to the amount of panic points the player controlled at the end of its turn.
6- The panic points will still damage the rival´s heart.
7- The bot will never run out of keys, (if you want to leave that to a max as normal, then also the player will have a max of total earned keys).
8- The game ends when one heart dies (if you decide to leave a cap on the keys for both sides, then the game will also end when all the phobies of a side die).

  4. Move Mopsy onto the lava tile Venus was on, Mopsy will die at the of turn and won’t resurrect.
  5. Attack Stabby with Spud twice, Spud will die from the return damage.

Game Objective: Capture all the Panic Points this turn

Mechanics:
I didnt have time to make a difficult but smart rust of Phobies that the player can use, nor the positions of the rival´s phobies.

General game idea:
1- Capture all panic points before the time of the turn runs out.
2- Time limit of the turn 1 minute (subject to change in order to make the thinking difficult, not impossible).
3- Make the challenge preferably in a large map (there will be more panic points, more phobies, therefore more possible moves and more thinking).
4-Dont let any allied phobie die (Extra idea).

Interesting additions:
Player’s side:
1- Phobies with low health and poisoned/deseased (so they cant be used for capturing panic points).
2- Phobies with switch ability, move ability, pull or push ability (Make it even harder to think the plays).
3- Healer Phobies (Again expanding the possibilities of moves by saving some deseased/poisoned Phobies).

Enemy’s side:
1- Hidden traps around the map.
2- some walls or Phobies in the way of panic points.
3- Include phobies that can hurt back such as stabby.

Rewards:
1- A Terrifying Pack to encourage users complete the challenges.

General idea of the points listed above:
Some good phobies to include in the player´s side could be phobies with switch ability, move ability, pull or push abilities, so that the player has to think more. Maybe some phobies could be with just a little health left and poisoned/deseased, so that if the player decides to send the phobie to capture a panic point, it will die before the capture of the panic point takes place. If you introduce some poisoned Phobies with little hp, then you could also introduce healers to cure the poisoned/deseased phobies. Again this will make the player think much more harder on what would be the perfect combination of moves to win the match. You could also include some traps hidden in panic points as well as normal points in the map. As an extra idea the player cant let any allied phobie die (this way the player also has to manage heals, and evade traps at all cost, as well as hitting very smart the phobies that can reflect damage).

As a reward please give something valueable, a pack might be interestinga as a reward, it doesn’t has to be a super pack. I think with a Terrifying pack as a reward you will encourage more players to play the challenges, because as of today I can say I have never played a single challenge.

PD: I left another idea of a challenge, but since it wasn’t a one turn challenge, I decided to make this post. But if you are interested in making challenges that last more the one turn, you could read it.

ENTRY #1

(Sorry for my bad English).
So basically, in this challenge what I tried to do, is to make use of Akira’s ability to create a fun challenge, and the challenge is to kill doughzer this turn. But since it involves lots of pulls and pushes, there might be some stuff that goes wrong and doesn’t go as planned, because I don’t know how this mechanic works very well. But don’t worry, other alternative places after the Akira pull shouldn’t affect this challenge. Excepting for doughzer not going left. But you can solve that by removing the greylien part. And also by miss moffat not going up-left but you can also solve that by putting her in other spot. (Only doughzer, blinky and noxious are not on your side. The noxious and blinky are there just to complicate things).

There are 3 linked images. The first one contains the initial board, the second one shows how everything should look after Akira pull, and the third one shows how everything would look when solved.



Solution:

  1. Use Akira’s ability.
  2. Use graylien’s ability with dougzher.
  3. Move Finnigan 2 tiles down left and use his ability on dougzher. He should move one up right (panic point).
  4. Move smother mother right.
  5. Move attractor right. Use his ability to pull doughzer. He should move one right up.
  6. Move repeller one down right, use ability on doughzer, he should move right.
  7. Move miss moffat 2 up left, next to an empty void tile, pull doughzer, should move to the right.
  8. Move rambolina next to the moai statue, bottom left to doughzer’s position and use his super on doughzer, he should be on the panic point.
  9. Use smother mother’s ability to pull blinky, he should be out of the void, bottom right to the moai’s position.
  10. Move octo naughty next to blinky (to his right) and use his ability onto doughzer, he should fall into the void.

Summary: Our new alien friend (or enemy) Attractor can allow for some very intuitive strategies of which we have never seen before. Grave Digger and Mount Krushmore have a beautiful way of altering the terrain allowing Attractor to target rocks and pull enemies besides it.

On one of my favourite maps, Phobos, can you figure out how to kill all enemies? Please only reveal spoilers once you have figured out the strategy!

Win condition: Eliminate all enemy phobies

  2. Mount Crushmore places rocks where rock was destroy North West of him

  2. Snowball moves 3 tiles to use ability on Thunder Rocks

  3. Mount Crushmore attacks Thunder Rocks

This is my Second entry for this event.
Objective: take all Panic Point this turn!
Our Phobies: Akira, Boomer, Finnigan, Murder Wing, and Ray Chargles.

Instruction: 1. Put Boomer right under AWOL.
2. Use Akira Ability and hit Batula
3. Kill Batula with Murder Wing
4. Take right Panic Point with Finnigan
5. Take left Panic Point with Ray Chargels.
Akira is very rare to be seen in game and not many people have it. So i think putting Akira in game challange will let people see him and try him a little bit. At Boomer part you dont have to put him to body block AWOL there, its just to show how his passive skill work and also there is some challange in game that we dont have to used some phobie available there

Map: The Big House
No map changes

Ally phobies: Ones with labelled “DMG” (Cassowary, Heart Breaker, Suckee, Gravedigger)
Enemy phobies: Ones with labelled “HP” (Jackalope King, Batula) Jackalope King HP in this challenge is edited/reduced for the sake of the solution.
Goal: Defeat all enemy phobies

There is only 1 solution (calculated by me already)

  1. First move, use Gravedigger to kill Batula (his wall removing ability is just a distraction in this challenge.)
  2. Use Cassowary to get close to Jackalope King. Cassowary has used 1 move to walk so it only has 1 move left to damage Jackalope King (J.K left with 300 hp.)
  3. Since Gravedigger killed Batula, there is no need for wall breaking for Heart Breaker to teleport J.K near Suckee, so Heart Breaker will just easily go to the orange circle and use it’s ability to teleport J.K in the black circle (circles specified in picture)
  4. Kill Jackalope King with Suckee (1 move for final blow and 1 move to walk on it’s bones.)

Challenge: Get the enemy K-9000 to exactly 1 hp.
Leave the last enemy Phobie alive with just one health for the ultimate bm!

The enemy K-9000 will be at 1091 hp and will be on a lava tile surrounded by phobies you control.
You’ll have to do some math to figure out how to get the K-900 to exactly 1 hp.
Because K-9000 is on a lave tile, push and pull attacks will be doing 200 less damage because after the push/pull K-9000 will no longer be on the lava tile.
Brony could be used to get push/pull that does no damage.
There could also be an obstacle next to K-9000 so that area attacks could target the obstacle to deal half damage the damage to K-900.
To give this challenge an extra bit of challenge, your phobies could be all different levels and not just level one to make the math harder.

Use gonzo bonzo to increase Blast-o-matic’s attack
Use slammer head to push eternal knight on the same line as Morty and blast-o-matic
Use gravedigger to build a wall 2 tiles away from blast-o-matic on the same line as Morty
Fire your sniper shot on the wall with blast-o-matic killing both eternal knight and Morty eternal knight will then move blast-o-matic closer to kaboom so you can finish him up with your second shot.
