[Feedback] Nerf-Buff Phobies: Which Ones and What to Change

I think snowball its ok, his damage and range are good and its a phobie that is not that hard to kill

First time poster here - perhaps i still need to unlock better counters, but I’m finding Klepto to be overpowered in my time playing thus far. I rarely win when he enters the board.

Counter-play is hard, especially on small maps where his attack covers a chunk of the board. The amount of health Klepto has means he can usually tank even your best coordinated effort to fully kill him in a turn - which means a massive punish will be incoming, as you’ve likely clumped phobies in an attempt to kill him… while the alternative of running away and repositioning costs turns, real estate, and usually is fruitless.

Hard to counter him with raising structures or using existing walls, as he is a lobber.

Feels like Klepto is massively overused at the top levels as well, for good reason.

Simply less health seems like it would balance him. He currently does whatever he wants!

For context: I am Doomsday I and 21 stress level.

Wanted to join in on the Stabby nerf train. His damage-done overall is a massive reward for a 3key. Between his ability, being dimensional, and having relatively strong attack damage - it feels like there is never a reason not to play stabby. I’m sure the data would show he is massively overplayed for those who have him unlocked

Nerf Klepto
He has very high damage for a thrower, not to mention he is lower keys than multiple throwers. My idea is to get rid of his chain,
He will still be good because of his high speed and damage so I think this is a suitable nerf.

Buff Clinico, with doctor dermic around it’s garbage. until you get it to level 10 it’s just not enough healing, and by then you have better options. I would argue muffintop is better. Up the heal by 150-250 and the damage up 100 because Phobies like Doctor dermic have usable damage and more heal for only 1 key more.

Edit: I have changed my opinions, you can find them lower in the thread. But I want to use this space for Stabby. I get that I’m disagreeing with everyone on here, but stabby is not to hard to deal with. Maybe up his cost a little, but no nerf is needed. I just counter with poison from creep. Or poison ivy if I already summoned creep, then just avoid it. (I’m in primals 3 and stress 28)

klepto is fine, he already has lower damage than other 6 key lobber like crushmore also less tankier than a 5 key heavo

Agree to disagree. Klepto’s AOE effect makes for massive damage while also increasing his threat-radius. He is very difficult to play around compared to the phobies you compare him to.

scroll through the leaderboards most common MVPs and you will see a TON of Klepto. Can’t say I’ve seen many crushmores :thinking:

I’ve beaten a guy with beauty, mainly because he kept putting his phobies on the fire pits, lol.

Buff Bad Sushi , more speed or not couldown for his capacity
Nerf Stabby , less life

If you take away klepto aoe though he just becomes identical to crushmore (with monster instead of dimensional) without the ability so it would make klepto just straight worse than crushmore.

Also, clinico’s special comes up one turn sooner than dr dermic which is a massive advantage. I rarely find myself using dr dermic because it heals way more hp than most phobies max hp so it’s very difficult to maximize it’s effect.

I have been reconsidering. Thanks for the feedback, Klepto’s Area of effect is what makes him unique, so I suggest a life nerf. He’s too tanky for a speedy lobber.

Clinico’s damage is fine now that I see it, but the shorter wait time won’t help if it can’t stay alive. I also just despise doctor dermic…

Nerf all flying phobies excluding the 1 space movers. Nerf electrical.

In my opinion, Doom Doom needs a buff. Even though it has a good amount of HP, it isn’t common for your enemy to have a full team of trap-laying phobies, which means the purpose of Doom Doom in a game is normally just clearing one or two traps. This wouldn’t be that bad if it weren’t for Doom Doom’s cost of five keys. This might be a small number in large maps, but in small maps, no ones willing to spent five keys just to get some traps cleared. The biggest problem is Doom Doom’s subpar attack, which means it is almost useless after clearing traps, unless you plan on using it as a bullet magnet. I suggest reducing its key cost or raising its attack.

Quagmire needs a nerf. It’s Hp is just too high, which combined with its boggle bath ability makes it extremely vexing on the battlefield. To make things worse, it also has a decent attack and speed, and only costs five keys. I can’t count how many times i have been devastated by a quagmire owned by the enemy early in the game.

I absolutely agree in the case of Doom Doom. It’s always tempting for me, but then it just rests in my roster because of it’s high cost.
My problems:

  • Doom Doom has to stay on the trap at the end of the turn → the opponent instantly annihilate it’s well animated body, and 1 turn later a new trap awaits you on the same spot
  • HP and DAM are similar to Charon, so Charon wins for me every time because of the ā€˜mop&run’ tactic.

Recommendations:

  • In my opinion a simple HP/DAM buff won’t help Doom Doom, I think about some spicier passive skill :wink:
    Option 1. After Doom Doom absorbs a trap, it gains max HP or DAM boost., similar to Grimes
    Option 2. After Doom Doom absorbs a trap, it’s attack upgrades with the attribute of the trap.
    Like base DAM + x poison / x fire , or single attack to AOE. Only 1 at the time, the new trap changes the old.

Hello this is my very first post here and am not sure if somebody talked about this before but If they did than uhh pls still listen or something.
So High Five I love him in fact his my favorite klepto is second btw but I would like to talk about high fives because of the many things I’ve seen while using and comparing him to other phobies first of all I believe his damage or hp should be buff now don’t get me wrong I know he’s damage and hp are no joke but when I just go look at other phobies I just can’t help but consider it unfair for one he get absolutely beaten by smother mother so badly to the point that it’s abuse, now for the reason that I say such a thing is that Fives is 8 keys while Mother is 9 keys now something like a 1 key difference can really be something and I know that high fives is like that because he is a heart attackers but he is just to weak for one he’s undead now I don,t like undead in fact I say they are the worst type of phobie of course that is my opinion feel free to prove me wrong but what I mainly don’t like about undead is the fact that they can’t be cured of poison which is not such a big deal for low cost undead but is for higher ones over 4 keys , an example that I will be using would be from my one a couple of weeks ago I used him to try and attack my opponents heart in which he got demolish there were many factors that kill melee phobies such as him one being that he get overwhelmed because of 2 tile rangers which is understandable but what I don’t understand is how he does terribly with other melees one instance that occurred to me would be when I was attacking the heart and had been opposed by ā€œprimate 4ā€ and ā€œsheeping gasā€ when I saw this I though for sure that he would be able to survive to which he did not I Believe this happened because of this flaws that should be fixed ONE being that his damage is to low for a melee who can attack around himself he has without a doubt great damage but when we consider the fact that there are many other better choices(not including other phobies to back up) he rarely gets used the only time I’ve used him would be because The enemy is already losing and I use him for fun(no harm meant to the opponent) or if I manage to make a great situation in which he is perfect for, as for that I say I use him about 1 time out of all the matches I play every TWO months which would be around in 79-100 games, in which I always lose that being because his hp and damage for a melee and heart breaker meaning that he will always be surrounded by 2 tile attackers is to low, his stats at level one being hp 2700 damage being 500 including his trait bumping it up to 900(to heat only) instead of those stats what I believe should be done is that both damage and hp should be buffed hp going to 2700 at level one to 2900-3100, damage at level one 500 going to 550 or 600 hundred as for his trait I find would not mind if it were to get nerfed by the same amount of damage is increased example damage bumps up to 600 trait goes from 400 to 300(having his damage to the heart go from 900 to 1000 with his trait not being nerf is something that Is will happily welcome tho😈),now I already know why this might be opposed one being that his hp would be considered to high now if you ask me out of all the games I’ve played I’ve never have used him as a phobie to fend off other phobies its always been with the mindset of having him attack the heart! High Fives having this buff would be great First being that his higher HP and DAMAGE would greatly increase his chance of survivor and also the fact that he won’t be easily outshined by any other phobie when looking melee options. That is all if you had read that unbearable paragraph that I wrote at 2:00 am at night than congratulations you are very patient or caring I wish you see good day BYEEEEEE.

I think Leshy need buff. he need 7keys to summon but he can’t tank, heal himself, acttack ranger 1 not aoe. Have a lot of phobies can poisoin and they skill delay less than Leshy. He can’t cure Smiley or Fowl, spagetti.

Look at Russel need 8keys to summon. but he can poision all map, acttack aoe hight dmg. Leshy need something like that.

Finally Zomboni is healer with 6 keys but he better than leshy a lot of.

Please nerf Gargles and Finnigan attacks;
nerf Ray chargerls health;
nerf everything about Fish Tank;
nerf Droney’s attack!

Something must definitely be done about Stabby, he’s too strong for a 3 key phobie. Unless you already gather at least 2+ strong phobies to counter it it’s just unfair.
Either they could change the cost to 4 keys or nerf his damage
