[Feedback] Nerf-Buff Phobies: Which Ones and What to Change

It’s absolutely insane Grimes only costs 4. U can get him out first turn and make him unstoppable. He gets insane bonus for every kill he gets, and he has unobstructed movement. It’s way too much. There’s 7s not even near as useful as him. Plus I don’t have him. Nerf him or give him to me l o l.

Y’all don’t wanna see me once I do get him.

Also, can we get a character whose ability is healing undead only? Maybe it can sacrifice its own HP to undead units adjacent? There’s gotta be a balanced/fair way to make that happen.

Kinda ruins the point of “unable to be healed” for undead

Its very funny seeing depending on the rank talks to either buff or nerf grimes. At higher ranks hes actually kinda bad cause its difficult to get kills with melee units as it is so you have to set up pull combos that can be disrupted by just killing grimes.
if you want tips on dealing with grimes, as soon as he shows up drop cheap units and just try and summon big bulky units he cant kill. Then keep him at bay until you can kill him

Post buff badside isnt that bad. Yeah snappys kinda better but snappys just good in general and the attack buff badside got helped him out a fair bit. I do think he could get a bit more health to stand out though.

as for collector ive not seen too much of him but everyone ive seen with him complains about him and I think hes very weak. Its kinda weird that they made the movement displacement phobies in this set so good and the synergy units like the collector so bad.

The collector was my first (non jar cannon) ultra rare, im kinda disappointed by how slow he his, I honestly would have rather gotten leshy (cause at least he gets to attack and do what he does)

Funny how grimes is the most controversial phobie in this game cuz depending on the kills you get he can make or break your game, and on higher ranks most melee units are actually pretty bad, could be including grimes, but again, hes very controversial

In my opinion, eternal knight has to go.
He is too powerful for a 2 key unit, don’t you think?
And grimes as well, he gets a massive self buff for damage when killing an enemy by 300 famage, there are 7 key units not near as useful and powerful as grimes

Eternal knight is super weak for a 2 key. If anything he doesnt do enough. His stats are very bad compared to other units of his cost and is reliant on the dimensional death damage making a huge impact, except you can just… kill it with a 1 key. Or heal the damage. Or use a regen phobie like quagmire. There are so many ways of making its dimensional damage not worth it.

For anyone struggling vs eternal knight, literally just use razor mouth, like even if it hits one of your units for 440, it then gets hit by razor mouth and dies. Half the time razor mouth survives doing this so you can then just trade a contested point with it and then they lose 1 net key and a point to deal 440 damage.

If you putit that way and mention it’s weak health, you have a point

Yes but then again i think hes pretty fine right now where he is, cuz i use it pretty late game from time to time when the enemy has less weak units to sacrifice and more valuable units to annoy, for example, most of the time my cassowary is dead or in a deifferent spot, so i pop in an EK to go to a pretty valuable unit and put mid ranged units behind him, and if the enemy has no safe way of killing him, then he has to suffer a good amount of dmg and stay back cuz otherwise its most likely dead to a full ginsting and murderwing, letting my units get closer and have more control on the map

I just got Grimes and he’s my 4th Ultra-Rare, I’m in Doomsday 2 and honestly the problem is that Phobies at this stage just have their stats so high, it’s hard to get him into a good position where he can make the kills. If I’d had him in lower elos this wouldn’t be an issue but he definitely becomes balanced out once you get up in elo.

In my opinion, i think furnaceface should be immune to fire damage, i mean it only makes sense, right?

In my opinion fire getting past his smoke is an important weakness for him to have, furnaceface is extremely good and is definitely not in need of any buffs

I want to compare the rare Fowl and the ultra-rare Cluck Norris.
Comparing their characteristics taken from the wiki.
Fowl:
Keys - 7
Health - 1800
Damage - 700
Attack Range - 1

Cluck Norris:
Keys - 6
Health - 2200
Damage - 350 (850 with ability)
Attack Range - 1

Based on this data, Fowl has a little more cost, a little less health, and a little less damage when compared based on ability. But he has an ability that deals 200 damage and a curse that deals 400 damage. This is a giant buff, as the curse cannot be removed, the ability’s attack range is 2 and has a 1 turn cooldown.
Meanwhile, Cluck Norris has a constant attack range of 1, so it’s extremely difficult to use his ability, and his Damage isn’t much higher than Fowl’s.
Okay, each of them, compared to each other, have their pros and cons. But what makes Cluck Norris ultra-rare? A LITTLE bit of improved parameters? A useless skill that is clearly worse than Fowl’a skill? Or a slightly reduced cost?
I think Cluck Norris needs a rework to deserve the ultra rare category.

The comparison is a little awkward but comparisons aside, cluck just isnt a good phobie, it has terrible stats and an ability that doesnt make up for them. The only reason i believe it hasnt been buffed is cause its a fairly recent exclusive offer phobie, there just isnt enough play data with it for the devs to properly decide with their own metrics that its too weak. I feel the same for cecillia, cecillia from its limited playtesting is similarly bad to cluck, the creation of disease tiles is just worse than pasgetti who can just apply a much stronger disease from range, the stats of cecillia are really bad, and its only real benefit is destroying disease tiles which just isnt worth 6 keys, especially compared to other tile destroyers that cost 3-4
