I keep asking for easier ways to determine which phobies to spend fears on. I realised I may be just spending them differently to others, and that is why it frustrates me there is no level sort.
I collect fears from playing, Jacks, and events. I always have loads of phobies of various keys, rarity, and level waiting for upgrade.
My average phobie level is 10, and my highest is 14. Also, I tend to ignore phobies that i don’t play, e.g. those waiting for their friends.
So, I tend to collect a bunch of fears 10k-30k then spend them. I find the highest level upgrade I can afford, starting with the highest keys, and working down. Then, as I’m spending, I’ll put any change on the next level i can afford.
E.g. if Barzilla is level 10, and Yeti is on level 5 and i have 20k, I’d upgrade Barzilla, but if i only had 15k, I’d upgrade neither because I’d have a level 7 somewhere else, and upgrade that. This is not a hard rule, sometimes i break it because i just like a phobies power and want it to be more competitive.
I use this approach because it means i have a mostly even set of phobies, I keep progressing through the cards, and 1 to 5 upgrades are cheap. I’m finding it hard to get any above level 14 as that requires 30k+, but that happens occasionally with events.
The effect of my fears approach is i really want the phobies list to be ordered by level. However, there are other ways to spend them. One obvious way would be to just save till you have the amount you need for a specific phobie upgrade.
