Phobies Match Length – Proposed Solution

As a long-time player, the only thing really keeping me away from Phobies is replayability. Matches take too long—20–30 minutes even on small maps, much more on big ones. Compared to other turn-based games like The Battle of Polytopia, this makes it harder to jump in for a quick session. Not everyone always wants a long battlefield; sometimes you just want a fast, fun match.

Proposed Fixes:

1. Game Modes

Original Mode → everything stays as is, for players who enjoy long, full matches.

Quick Mode → reduced summon keys + shorter turn timers on both small and big maps. This greatly speeds up gameplay without losing strategy.

2. Universal Rule for Unresponsiveness

If a player becomes unresponsive, their turn automatically passes after a short grace period. This avoids wasted time, especially when playing many matches in a row.

These changes would spice things up, fit the theme of Phobies, and make the game much more replayable for both casual and hardcore players.
