Gonna put this here, this is my current opinion of the post patch meta, once again tier lists for this game are naturally flawed so take it with a grain of salt.
Few key points ive found:
All the ally displacers feel about equal now ive tested them all and they feel pretty similar.
Thanks to inoc’s damage nerf a lot of phobies at the 800 health range have moved up in strength, namely creep who before had a really bad matchup into inoc is now way better.
The game is more tempo oriented, combo oriented phobies are a bit worse than before and more direct fighting phobies are better.
Most of the nerfed phobies seem about B tier with the exception of inoc and unicorn. This might change as people figure out the meta but so far all of the nerfed phobies have felt in a strong spot.
Brutewurst is now way better. Has felt very strong, might even end up moving him up further.
Still need more data on cecilia and hazmat, i have moved them up from where i put them before but no one really brings them out so its hard to tell how good they are. Ive been testing prometheus and he seems about B tier to me, strong in a few maps, ok anywhere else but not game changing.
A shame seeing smother mother so low since shes my fav 9 key, what i want for her is to give her the doc holliday treatment, as in a 3 range pull every 2 turns or so, itd also make her actually somewhat unique compared to other 9 keys instead of a “big brute but this time with a pull”
Yeah id like smother mother to get some kind of unique mechanic. Her stats arent the worst but shes just too expensive for what she does
maybe a low range akira , dragging all phobies in a 2 space radius.
for cecilia i can say, he got better, he now can revenge disease guys like snow ball and monty, but to be honest, the damage is too pathetic to consider him. Breaking a toxic field to increase the own tempo is fine, so supporting, but all in all he’s more or less a bit more bulkier version of 5 key Fetch. (same base attack)
i think he would combo good with hazmath poisonfield spam the whole enemy board to force him bots and then antibot him
Honestly thats a very fair assessment, thats kinda what i thought as well. Its better but 150 disease isnt enough to really threaten anything with so enemies just dont care.
exactly that, enemies just don’t care. beside a variety of low key range units he’s more of a meatshield sadly. and quagmire is doing this cheaper - better. his high attack results in a strong pull but beside that. there are occasions where play him against fowl, smiley and other disease spreaders but no no no. try him again as starter on big maps and look if i can control with him what he spawns, but as you say. big part of the roster is not caring at all.
Tbh nerf his health and attack and make him 5 keys or less to become him viable. see no other way beside adding disease to the base attack or spamming fields every round. or a effect like smiley (his abismal 150 of course)
