Wrathtub is a melee phobie with the ability to unleash moving explosive bubbles. If these bubbles detect an enemy phobie at the end of each turn, it will explode and deal AoE damage. These bubbles will also move in a direction, specifically where Wrathtub spawned it, much like a beam attack’s direction. I know that everyone else makes stats for them, but I believe that it should be up to Smoking Gun to balance it.

He floats around, all puffed up like a swollen toe. When you touch him, he acts a little like Bloat, puffing up and swelling. Idling, he spins on the air. His base attack is him slamming his pink body into another phobie. His special attack is an explosion of his spines on him, thrusting outward, pushing all enemies away.

Macropleura is inspired by the Arthropleura, a prehistoric giant millipede, and conveyor belts.

Upon death, Redmaw explodes in a supernova, dealing 450 damage to all adjacent enemy Phobies.

Inspiration:
Redmaw is based on a red supergiant, a massive star at the end of its life cycle, moments before collapsing in a supernova. Its nebulous body takes the shape of the upper half of a dinosaur, though not any specific species.

Inspiration:
Copster is inspired by the pistol shrimp, a small but powerful creature known for its shockwave-producing claw. It also takes elements from police officers, reinforcing the idea of enforcing justice through defensive retaliation rather than direct offense.

-Idle Animation: Eyes flare up and a little fire flashes out.
-Tap Animation: Screeches and sends a little flame jet out of each mouth in a different direction.
-Movement Animation: Same as Hydra.
-Attack Animation: Same as Hydra, but with a little flame emission.
-Ability Animation: Learnaea screeches aggressively and shoots a short stream of fire out of its mouths at the ground where the attacking Phobie is.

Here’s my phobies concept art for the contest

1. Irritantis


It is an uncommon phobie unit.
Irritantis is inspired by conjunctivitis, the unsettling inflammation of the eye, and the myth of Medusa, whose gaze could paralyze or petrify those who dared to look.

2. Viscosis


Viscosis is a rare 4 key phobie, Viscosis is inspired by slime-based creatures, slugs, and insects with translucent bodies. Its see-through form, with a visible skull and heart, adds an eerie touch showing it is both alive and decaying nature.

3. Gloomstare


Gloomstare is a dimensional rare phobie inspired by stalkers that relentlessly track their prey, exposing their weaknesses and breaking them psychologically before attacking. Its design is heavily influenced by the fear of being watched, paranoia, and the idea that some unseen force is always observing. The cloak, lined with numerous hidden eyes, represents the ultimate predator.

I made this on paper with a pencil.

I got inspired by the icebreaker mints that are Pina colada flavored so I just kept on singing that song that goes “I like Pina coladas” whilst drawing him I also suck at coloring so I did not want to color him

Clawty is a Phobie with a very particular ability. If it is placed one space away from an enemy, it can use its ability “Brawl!” to push that same enemy 2 spaces from its position (the default direction of the push is forward). If an enemy hits a cliff on their first space, they fall into it. If an enemy can’t move back 2 spaces but can move back 1, they move back 1. If an enemy can’t move back at all, they simply take damage.

The state likes a Heavo pro, with higher state and strong ability. You should consider more for its balance.
I am not sure why irritantis’ passive buff has a 2 turn duration, but it is too crazy if it is a permanent pairing buff.
Yetti has 1 more key, yet a weaker control ability and no buff and aoe. It is very unbalanced, too.
Viscosis is good, I like it.

Aesthetics:

  • General: a chameleon holding a masquerade mask in front of its face to hide its true colors. When summoned, the color of the chameleon changes to match its phobie type (green for monster, red for mechanical, blue for dimensional, and gray for undead). The area behind the mask and around the eyes, however, is brown.

  • Sound: Suction-y splatters when Chamelyin’ walks, and a soft sharp thud when Chamelyin’ attacks with his tongue.

  • Idle Animation: Chamelyin’ swaps her mask out for another mask, revealing the brown skin underneath the mask.

  • Tap Animation: The 3 other colors that Chamelyin’ could be if she were summoned as another type pass over her body, one after another, creating a rainbow effect.

  • Movement Animation: Just a normal chameleon walking.

  • Ability Animation: All 4 colors pass over Chamelyin’s body, before the color corresponding to Chamelyin’s type glows brightly. All other phobies sharing Chamelyin’s type expand slightly and glow with a buff animation, just like with Omega, Edgar Allen, Gonzo Bonzo, etc.

  • Attack Animation: Chamelyin’ removes her mask, revealing the brown skin underneath, and shoots a tongue at the enemy.
